by Jessica Polko Yesterday, Kansas City placed Jeremy Affeldt on the disabled list with a strain groin. Affeldt initially strained his groin during spring training, and although he recovered sufficiently to open the season with the Royals, he aggravated the injury during Kansas City's April 15th game against Detroit. The Royals want him to rest until he's completely recovered, as the club is concerned that if he attempts to return too early, he may injury his arm while compensating. Consequently, Affeldt isn't expected back until mid-to-late May.
