by Jessica Polko Yesterday, Tampa Bay signed Julio Lugo to a one-year, $3.35M contract that includes a $100,000 buyout on a $4.95M option for 2006. When teams and players exchanged arbitration numbers, the Devil Rays offered Lugo $3.1M while he requested $3.8M. The compromise falls on Tampa's side of the mid-point, and the Devil Rays now possess the flexibility of a 2006 option.
