by Jessica Polko Cleveland signed Kevin Millwood to a one-year, $7M contract yesterday. Millwood's $3M salary is guaranteed, but he will lose $21,857.92 for every day he's on the disabled list if he spends more than 20 days on the DL as a result of an elbow or shoulder injury incurred while pitching. That figure represents 1/183 of his signing bonus, since there are 183 days in the regular season. The contract also includes $1M in potential bonuses of which Millwood reportedly will receive the full sum if he pitches 215 innings or makes 34 starts.
