by Jessica Polko Toronto brought Russ Adams, Ryan Glynn, Eric Crozier, and Guillermo Quiroz to the majors after rosters expanded. The Blue Jays drafted Adams out of the University of North Carolina with the fourteenth overall pick in the first round of the 2002 draft. He split the remainder of that season between Auburn in the Short-Season New York-Pennsylvania League and A+ Dunedin in the Florida State League before dividing his time between A+ Dunedin and AA New Haven in the Eastern League in 2003. At the time of this promotion, the 24-year-old was hitting .288 with a .351 OBP and .408 SLG on 139 H, 37 2B, 3 3B, and 5 HR with a 45:62 BB:K and 6/8 SB% in 483 AB at AAA Syracuse in the Pacific Coast League.
