by Jessica Polko Tampa Bay placed Rocco Baldelli on the disabled list yesterday. Baldelli first injured his right thigh in late June. After a few days rest, he was able to return to the lineup, but he aggravated the injury while playing on the Toronto turf at the end of July. When he had difficulty running out a ground ball during the Devil Rays' August 13th game in Texas, the team decided he should hit the disabled list, so he can give his leg the rest it needs to heal. However, Tampa Bay anticipates that Baldelli will be ready to return when eligible to come off the DL on August 29th.
