by Jessica Polko Colorado placed Joe Kennedy on the disabled list on July 8th. Inflammation in his shoulder triggered the trip to the DL, but when an MRI failed to reveal structural damage in the joint, the Rockies believed he would be ready to rejoin the team when first eligible to come off the disabled list on July 18th. Unfortunately, he experienced additional soreness in his shoulder after throwing earlier this week, so he's expected to miss that target. Colorado wants him to throw two side sessions and a rehab start without pain before returning to the rotation, so I do not expect him back before early August.
