by Jessica Polko The Mets placed Karim Garcia on the disabled list on June 24th. Garcia began suffering from tendinitis in his left wrist during Spring Training but played through the injury until New York's acquisition of Richard Hidalgo made him more expendable. Although surgery may eventually be necessary, Garcia first plans to rest the wrist, hoping that the problem will dissipate once he is no longer regularly aggravating it. I do not expect him back before August, and the trouble could keep him out longer.
