Arizona placed Jose Valverde on the disabled list on June 18th. Valverde began complaining of soreness in his shoulder last week, causing the Diamondbacks to shut him down and run tests. An MRI revealed tendinitis and swelling, so Valverde will not begin throwing again before next week.
