by Jessica Polko The Cubs placed Sammy Sosa on the disabled list on May 19th retroactive to May 16th when Sosa evidently sprained a ligament in his lower back while sneezing. He received an epidural to help with the pain shortly after the accident. Sosa has reported improvement in his back after receiving ultrasound and whirlpool treatments and resting. The 35-year-old will be eligible to return from the disabled list on June 1st, but he could be out up to a week or two past that date.
