by Jessica Polko Florida placed Chad Fox on the disabled list on April 28th due to inflammation in his right elbow. Subsequent tests revealed his ulnar nerve is inflamed. Fox will attempt to correct the problem with rest, though there supposedly is a possibility that the condition is a result of a partially torn ligament in his elbow. Fox already has undergone Tommy John ligament replacement surgery twice, and recovery from a third surgery would be questionable. Doctors may be able to get a better view of the elbow once the swelling has gone down. He has been shut down for the next four weeks, so late June probably is the soonest he could return from the DL. The Marlins called up Franklin Gracesqui to replace Fox on the roster.
