by Jessica Polko Rick Helling will miss the opening of the season after breaking his right leg. Helling sustained the injury when he was hit in the shin by a line drive off the bat of Shawn Wooten in the fourth inning of Minnesota's March 20th spring training game against the Phillies. X-Rays revealed a fractured fibula, so he's been fitted with a protective boot. The injury is expected to sideline him for at least four weeks, though since he's not yet on the roster, the Twins likely won't place him on the disabled list.
