by Jessica Polko While Baltimore signed Miguel Tejada to a six-year, $72M contract on December 14th, I delayed discussion of the acquisition in anticipation that the Orioles would add Vladimir Guerrero and either Ivan Rodriguez or Javy Lopez to their roster soon after. The Orioles evidently weren't quite as close to those other deals as anticipated, but yesterday Baltimore agreed to a three-year, $22.5M with Lopez. Tejada reportedly will receive a salary of $3M in 2004, $9M in 2005, $10M in 2006, $12 M in 2007, $13M in 2008, and $13M in 2009, in addition to a $12M signing bonus of which the Orioles will pay $4M in 2004 and then $2M in 2005,2006, 2010, and 2011. I still expect to see Guerrero in a Baltimore uniform.
