by Jessica Polko In the first week after rosters expanded, Cincinnati called up several players, including Dane Sardina, Todd Van Poppel, Josh Hall, Matt Belisle, RHP Juan Cerros, and Corky Miller. Cincinnati grabbed Cerros from the Mets in the minor league portion of the 2002 Rule 5 draft. The Reds then loaned Cerros to a Mexican League team for most of the year. Pitching for Monterrey, Cerros compiled a 24:14 K:BB with 44 H and 2 HR allowed in 48 IP for a 2.44 ERA over 50 appearances.
