by Jessica Polko When rosters first expanded, the Astros called up RHP Kirk Bullinger, Jared Fernandez, Wade Miller, Colin Porter, and Kirk Saarloos. Bullinger was last in the majors in 2000 and hasn't spent substantial time in the big leagues at any point during his 12-year career. Pitching for AAA New Orleans in the Pacific Coast League this season, the 33-year-old compiled a 46:14 K:BB with 56 H and 3 HR allowed in 65 IP for a 1.94 ERA over 55 IP. Those numbers indicate significant relief potential, but the Astros have such a solid bullpen that Bullinger hasn't received much work this September. If someone takes notice of his AAA performance, he may be able to land a Spring Training invitation next year.
