by Jessica Polko Both Troy Glaus and Darin Erstad have hit the disabled list in the last month. The Angels placed Glaus on the DL on July 23rd with a bruised right shoulder. Glaus incurred the injury in the third inning of Anaheim's July 21st game at Tampa Bay when his spikes caught on the turf and he fell hard on his shoulder while he was attempting to field a Julio Lugo bunt. He was on a rehab assignment last week when he aggravated the injury. The Angels currently are unsure if he'll return this season as they don't want him to jeopardize his health next year to play now when Anaheim doesn't look likely to return to the playoffs in 2003. Glaus is scheduled to undergo another MRI today which should clarify his status. Meanwhile, Anaheim placed Erstad on the disabled list on Saturday with tendinitis in his right hamstring. This hamstring has bothered him all season and led to six weeks on the DL early in the year. He attempted to come back with the aid of a knee brace but continued to have problems so the Angels returned him to the DL. While Erstad will continue to receive therapy for the injury and surgery isn't currently scheduled, as with Glaus, Anaheim is not going to hurry Erstad's return to a team not destined to play in the 2003 post-season.
