by Jessica Polko The Yankees lost patience with Raul Mondesi yesterday, shipping him and $2M to Arizona for Bret Prinz, David Dellucci, and C-L Jon Mark Sprowl. In March of last year, Arizona acquired Sprowl from the Cubs for a player to be named later. Chicago drafted him out of Shelton State Alabama Junior College with their 47th round pick in the 1998 draft. He split 2000 between A Lansing in the Midwest League and Short-season Eugene in the Northwest League, after spending 1999 with the Cubs Rookie-level Arizona League affiliate. Following a full season at Lansing in 2001, he advanced to A+ Lancaster in the California League last year. At the time of the trade, he was hitting .296 with a .402 OBP and .421 SLG on 95 H, 22 2B, 3 3B, and 4 HR with a 54:31 BB:K and 5/9 SB% in 321 AB at A South Bend in the Midwest League.
