by Jessica Polko The White Sox jumped into the trade market and acquired both Roberto Alomar and Carl Everett yesterday. Alomar cost Chicago LHP Royce Ring, RHP Edwin Almonte, and Andrew Salvo. Texas will receive two to three prospects for Everett. Both the Mets and Rangers are picking up all but the prorated minimum salary of the players they dealt. While I've have more reservations about this trade than Tim, I believe it will allow the White Sox to move within spitting distance of the division title.
