Pitchers with 2 starts to deploy only in leagues that don't count qualitative stats:
We almost certainly will add Joe Mauer as a free agent next week, but with our bullpen finally saving games and four decent starts, we're not burning anything this week.
SP(6) To give us the most room on offense, Lackey and Haren will join the four doubles. Dempster also will replace Jenks with the Sox heading to Texas and Cincinnati. Thome returns to the lineup for Hawpe, who joins Pujols, Edwin Encarnacion, Gathright, and Barmes on the bench. Holliday stays active given his slightly greater upside than Hawpe due to his lack of a platoon.

Johan Santana: Tue:BOS(C.Schilling); Sun:@PIT(Ol.Perez) Running all six doubles should give us a chance to improve our qualitative stats here, providing the Schilling double doesn't blow up in our face. We need to leave Hawpe in for cap reasons as even deploying Lackey over Schilling doesn't get our salary sufficiently low. Alexis Rios will join Matt Holliday and Albert Pujols on our bench as Hawpe should see six starts this week.

With Colorado heading on the road and our bench in shambles, we're dumping Joey Gathright and Elmer Dessens to buy Joe Mauer and Jermaine Dye. Corey Patterson also might join our team by the second half of the week depending on Willingham's health.
SP(6) With Buehrle in Texas and Schilling against Santana, we'll take the other six starts without a second thought. Mauer subs for Helton at DH while the addition of Dye lets us bench Holliday, who joins Pujols, Edwin Encarnacion, and Cory Sullivan on the bench.

SP(6) With the three doubles, we'll deploy Lackey, Mussina, and Haren to give us more cap room on offense, narrowly leaving Pedro on the bench. Willingham, Pujols, Ellis, Edwin Enarnacion, and Cory Sullivan stay glued to our bench. Sizemore and Gomes replaces Holliday and Hermida, and then after nearly leaving Bobby Crosby deployed, we're flipping him with the healthy and suddenly productive Clint Barmes.
