Pitchers with 2 starts to deploy only in leagues that don't count qualitative stats:
SP(6) Peavy looks like the only automatic to join the four doubles, but with our offense still flagging, deploying Burnett over Santana allows us to run our best position players. Victor Martinez returns to the lineup for Buck as Glaus subs for the hurting Mora and Edmonds replaces Mench. Iguchi and Holliday stay benched as we opted not to use our last free agent move on Garrett Atkins.

A desperate need for steals, a desire for a backup shortstop, and Counsell's continued ineffectiveness resulted in us adding Jose Reyes and cutting David Dellucci, who doesn't help in the categories we need most.
SP(6) With only our need for steals exceeding our need for wins, Dempster stays benched as Santana, Peavy, Carpenter, and Burnett join the two doubles. Reyes subs for Counsell as Miguel Cabrera returns to the lineup for the ice cold Pat Burrell and Iguchi replaces Posada, who still owns decent skills but doesn't seem cap-effective right now. Morneau and Wright stay benched.

SP(6) No starts: Randy, Santana, Peavy, Burnett, Beckett Dempster soon may replace Batista for us, but with the Jays against the Rays, Batista stays for now. Clemens' superior skills at least leave us confidence of a win in Coors as Oswalt sits. Victor Martinez and Edmonds replace Buck and Reed as Iguchi, Mora, and Holliday remains benched. While Reed's average might make him a better bet than Mench, the Rangers face the Angels for four in Arlington, giving Mench far more quantitative upside.

SP(6) Santana, Peavy, and Burnett will join the three doubles. Offensively, we see little reason to deploy Helton, Hudson, Kearns, or Holliday while we lack obvious roster spots for Glaus and Reed given Lane heads to Colorado. Our only changes look like Martinez for Buck and Morneau for Drew.

Our Recommended All-Star Ballot
POS AL NL 1B M.Teixeira D.Lee 2B B.Roberts J.Kent SS M.Tejada F.Lopez 3B A.Rodriguez A.Ramirez C J.Varitek P.LoDuca OF G.Sheffield B.Abreu OF V.Guerrero M.Cabrera OF J.Damon B.Giles DH D.Ortiz Players who earned our vote for the second season in a row include Vlad, Sheffield, and Abreu while Manny's occasional struggles and Bonds' injury left us with no one on our ballot for more than two consecutive seasons. You have until Thursday, June 30th at 11:59 PM(EDT) to vote as many times as possible here. ("As many as times as possible" means as many friends and family members you can either convince to vote or let you vote for them, multiplied by twenty-five ballots per person. While the process will likely take up to an hour per person to submit all the votes, every vote certainly counts now with some starting positions very much in question. Please vote as often as your schedule (and the rules) allow.
