While Good struggled in his initial starts in the majors this season and he didn't dominate consistently in the bullpen, he also owns very respectable skills and could see emerge as a useful fantasy contributor quickly. Good suffers from a flyball problem that leads to an abundance of homers, but strong control and respectable strikeout rates give him a good foundation. However, even though the 24-year-old isn't ready to secure a permanent starting job, his command could net him a few victories in upcoming weeks, making him a decent target if your team needs wins and innings thanks to a soft schedule.

If we continue to lack starters due to injury, we may add someone over the weekend, but with Beckett back and Schilling seemingly avoiding the DL, we'll deploy our four solid choices now, and then reevaluate Sunday.

Losing Vernon Wells hurts, although that opens a logical lineup slot for Victor Martinez. We'll leave Orlando Hudson benched until he demonstrates both good health and effectiveness, and we don't need to deploy Crede or Cintron. Lastly, given their continuing slumps, Beltran and Podsednik complete our bench since we want Ichiro, Pierre, and Crawford active.
