Our post-2003 hitter reviews conclude tomorrow with designated hitters.
Today's Fantasy Rx: Even with the development of youngsters like Rene Reyes, Chin-Feng Chen, Wilkin Ruan, Shane Victorino, Jason Ellison, and Todd Linden, a few outfield prospects remain in the upper levels of the NL West. The Dodgers' Franklin Gutierrez possesses as much power potential as almost any prospect in the minors and the Padres' Freddy Guzman should emerge as San Diego's starting centerfielder and leadoff man within two seasons. Colorado's Choo Freeman and Cory Sullivan also should find opportunities with the Rockies in the near future, although neither is a particularly strong draft pick, especially when compared to Gutierrez and Guzman.
