Salmon's skill trends suggested he only needed to remain healthy to post his first 30/100 season since 1997. Unfortunately, his nagging injuries have kept him at DH more than a third of the time, and his .234/.325/.386 line when not playing the field drags down the .303/.397/.521 he owns when starting in right field. The latter performance seems closer to his current talent level as Salmon's .14 walk rate, .82 contact rate, and .80 G-F are an excellent skill combination for him. A 3.84 #P/PA indicates a general decrease in his patience, but he remains a quality offensive contributor for a contender to acquire.
