Pitchers with 2 starts to deploy only in leagues that don't count qualitative stats:
With three moves remaining, we're willing to use one this week, but with roster expansion next Sunday, we're not eager to spend a move if we can't fix an obvious deficiency.
SP(6) Millwood and Brown are easy calls as the doubles, and Randy and Mussina also look nice. None of the remaining starts intrigue us, so since we don't trust anyone in Houston and remain worried about Schmidt's health, Schilling at home against the Cubs and Halladay at home against the A's look like the best options. While Toby Hall sees a good schedule this week, we possess enough flexibility to bench him, Durazo, and Aaron Boone. Vlad sits due to his poor schedule, and as we want to run both Randy and Schilling, Soriano also leaves our lineup. Austin Kearns will depart as soon as we need an upgrade anywhere, however we like our lineup this week a lot. We expect to add two starting pitchers next week, and as we possess decent depth everywhere but shortstop, we should conserve our remaining moves until we need them.

Milton Bradley's injury leaves us with an obvious cap problem, so we'll add Marcus Giles while dropping Austin Kearns, whom we know is out for the season, which gives us the flexibility to deploy more expensive outfielders. We also need a healthy seventh outfielder, so we're grabbing Carl Crawford since we expect him to steal at least another dozen bases over the balance of the season as he faces teams like New York, Toronto, and Boston for multiple series. To add Crawford, we'll cut Bradley. These moves leave us with one purchase and one free agent remaining, so we'll conserve those until we need them. For roster expansion next week, we expect to add either Esteban Loaiza or Brandon Webb, depending on their respective schedules over the rest of the year.
Mulder, Millwood, and Brown are acceptable pulls here, and then Randy and Mussina look fine. Out of the remaining options, Schilling and Halladay both look decent, so we'll run Halladay since we need the cap room for our offense. Adding Giles and Crawford allows us to bench Hall and Durazo, and then Delgado, B.Boone, and Orlando Cabrera own the least enticing schedules of our players with salaries over 1000.

SP(6) No starts: Schilling, Morris, Oswalt, Mussina, Halladay, and Ainsworth. Wood's start is quite uncertain and Prior's a risk in Houston, so we'll take Randy, Pedro, Millwood, Brown, Schmidt, and Loaiza. Vlad needs to sit to make room for Helton, Orlando Cabrera faces the same weak schedule as Vlad, and Aaron Boone just doesn't fit with this lineup. Austin Kearns remains our obvious cut when we need to use our last move.

We're burning one of our two remaining moves on Javy Lopez, who gives us a dramatic upgrade at catcher, a third catcher, and a needed inexpensive addition to our lineup. Kearns departs our roster since he's done for the season.
SP(6) Millwood and Brown are automatic doubles, and then Randy, Schilling, Mussina, and Halladay own the best shots at wins. Hall, Delgado, Phelps, Soriano, Ellis, Rolen, J.Hernandez, and Juan Gone all need to sit in order for us to deploy our power-hitting outfielders, including both Larry Walker and Preston Wilson for Colorado's homestand.

Once again, neither Randy nor Prior looks necessary this week, so we'll stay with our current pitchers. Losing Milton Bradley hurts, however we don't like almost any of the inexpensive players available who we don't already own; Bradley will remain on our bench at least for another week.
SP(6) Brown and Webb are automatic here, and Schilling and Mussina look solid. Our last choice is between Clemens, Halladay, and Loaiza. Considering Toronto's offense has vanished this month while New York and Chicago remain strong, Loaiza seems like an obvious choice, and since we like Zito a lot better than Gobble, we'll run Clemens as our 6th starter. However, after considering our offense, we simply give up too much if we run Schilling, so we'll deploy Mussina, Clemens, Halladay, Brown, Loaiza, and Webb. Hall, Delgado, Durazo, B.Boone, O.Cabrera, Tex, and Bradley are easy calls to sit, and as we can't quite find cap room for Manny, he'll join the others on our bench.
