Anaheim: Francisco Rodriguez, RH Reliever KRod unsurprisingly hasn't continued dominating the league in the fashion so many expected after his historically great postseason a year ago. However the only obvious problem here is a 4.6 BB/9. His 8.4 K/9 and 5.9 H/9 both indicate great potential for a 21-year-old, and few of his splits depict problems. The primary problem that jumps out at me is his 6.14 ERA during the day, an unhappy stat caused by allowing two homers in a little over seven innings. Of course KRod owns a 3.81 ERA during the daytime despite a marginal 22:14 K:BB in 26 IP, but none of these numbers dissuades my belief in his future stardom. Percival's injury problems could return, and as we expect KRod to compete with Donnelly for any extra save opportunities in Anaheim, see if you can acquire KRod now before his value returns to its offseason level.
May Underachiever: Mickey Callaway, RH Reliever. Previous Underachievers: April: John Lackey, RH Starter.
