Colorado: 7 games: 4 Road at Arizona; 3 Home vs. San Diego
7 Home games
7 games
7 Road games Teams with six home games Boston, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles, Minnesota, and Pittsburgh. All other teams play six games with at least three on the road.
Only deploy in Fantasy Baseball and other leagues that don't count qualitative stats:
SP(6) We're pleased with the doubles from Miller, Halladay, Prior, and Beckett, and given Kerry's pitched superbly lately, we'll happily run him at home against Jimmy Haynes. Arizona's weak offense makes Randy and Schilling slightly riskier plays this week, so we'll employ Pedro to complete our rotation for the week. Our catching also has suffered badly thanks to Marrero's health problems and Hall's ineffectiveness, so we're going to drop Jesus Colome and add IRod to try to keep pace with the over 50% of owners that opened the year with the Florida starter. IRod will enter our lineup for Marrero Deploying only one ace this week gives us enough offensive room to run both Vlad and ARod, and Phelps will sit since Huff faces a notably weaker schedule. We essentially have one DH spot left for either Ichiro, Larry Walker, Preston Wilson, or Jose Hernandez. As Colorado only plays three games at home this week, we'll deploy Ichiro in our last spot in the hope he can help us with steals.

SP(6) No starts: Oswalt and Schmidt. The home starts of Wood, Prior, and Ainsworth look good, but we're reluctant to run Miller, Halladay, or Beckett in road singles. We'll hope that last week's struggles of our three aces were a temporary problem and deploy Randy, Pedro, and Schilling. Our three Rockies sit on the road, and we still can't find budgetary room for Ichiro, forget about adding IRod here.

SP(6) Halladay, Prior, and Ainsworth remain easy calls, and out of our four single home starts, Randy, Pedro, and Wood probably possess the best shot for wins. These moves leave us with significant available cap room since we have no intention of deploying Marrero, any of our four Blue Jays given their tough schedule, and we'd prefer to sit our three Rockies. However we need an upgrade at 1B, and while we're not dropping Carlos Pena since we can just release Griffey, we need an alternative to running Phelps and Thomas every week. The best 1B on the board is Helton, so we'll add him for Griffey and deploy him over Phelps and Pena. As we're not quite ready to use a third move this early in the year just to add another expensive player, Preston Wilson will complete our lineup since he's looked better than Larry Walker thus far. While we're leaving almost 1000 on the table, we wouldn't have this lineup flexibility without deploying Ainsworth, so we see no need to add a pricey player when he would sit whenever we didn't use Ainsworth.
