We'll review minor league free agents and AAA/AA prospects from the American League West
tomorrow.
Today's Fantasy Rx: Jon Rauch, Kenny Baugh, Corwin Malone, and Rick Kirsten are the
top pitching prospects from today's group. Rauch certainly deserves a top pick now that his
first arm surgery is out of the way, and Baugh looks extremely polished even for a college
pitcher. The only problem with Baugh is that he was reportedly extremely overworked in
college, so you might want to wait until the middle rounds to see if someone else overdrafts
him. Malone and Kirsten are both flyers if you'd like a solid pitching prospect with a low
pick, as both of them are unlikely to see any significant major league time before 2003 and
possibly even 2004.
